Hello and welcome to Counsellor's Corner
My name is Meg Kruger and I'm the school counsellor. I am a teacher, and also have a master's degree from the University of Victoria in Counselling Psychology. I've worked in education for the past 18 years, and as an elementary counsellor for the past 15 years. I am trained in many modalities of counselling support, but focus at school on supporting children with anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, family system struggles, identity formation, and self-regulation needs (emotional and behavioral). I support children and teachers at the school by working with classrooms, running small groups, and providing limited 1-1 counselling support. I love working with children and youth; I always feel grateful to join them on their journey as another support person. Another passion I have is supporting parents and guardians; I believe that the family system can be the most powerful influence in a child's life and any support I can give to parents enhances the well-being of the child.
I hope the resources I provide will be of use as you grow and develop in health
